Corey Barnowski
Bantam Division
65 Lbs.
Corey is really starting to find his mat sense.
This is his third year wrestling, but the first that he has
been having fun demonstrating a true proficiency of his
basic wrestling skills, and an interest in learning new
skills. Corey still has a lot to learn, but now he has
tasted victory and is hungry to learn more. He earned third
place this weekend in Johnston.

Jacob Servant
Midget Division
63 Lbs.
Jacob is in his first year of wrestling. It is
very tough to walk onto the mat and compete with kids that
have two or three years more experience than you do; yet
Jacob has stepped up and gone head to head with these tough
competitors. He has taken some lumps, but is also finding
out that he can stand his ground and is just short of coming
out on top more often than not. He has a great attitude and
is enjoying the sport. This week, Jacob took fourth place in
Johnston.

Damien Mendoza
Midget Division
60 Lbs.
Damien has been wrestling hard all year long. He
works hard in practice, and has been successful in weekly
competition. In spite of his superior performance, the Gold
has been a tough goal to reach. This week, Damien defeated
some very tough competition in his attainment of that goal
as he brought home the Gold from Johnston.

Shaun Wilson
Midget Division
56 Lbs.
Shaun is a first year wrestler, but has taken to
the sport and improved greatly over the course of the year.
In spite of facing competitors with more experience, has
worked hard to match their skill and surpass their
determination. Shaun learned this week that hard work pays
off as he earned his first Gold Medal at the Johnston
Tournament.
