Weigh in times:
For Club tournaments: 6 to 10 year olds (7:30 - 8:30 am) 11-18 year olds (11:00 - 11:30 am)
For RI State tournament: TBA

Weigh-in Procedure - For Club Tournaments: Madison weights (weight groups determined by registration weight) apply. Wrestlers weighing less than 100 lbs will be given a 1 pound allowance over registered wight and wrestlers weighing more than 100 lbs will be allowed a 2 pound allowance over registered weight. If actual weight is above the registered weight plus allowance, that competitor will not be allowed to wrestle. For the State Tournament: You must make weight for the weight class you pre-registered for, you will not be allowed to bump up or down a weight class if you don't make the weight class you pre-registered for. USAW weights (http://themat.com/forms/Weights.pdf) apply.

RI State Kid's Championship eligibility rule: Wrestlers must live in RI or be a member of an RIWA chartered club and participate in =>50% to the RIWA sanctioned tournaments prior to the "States". Any request for exemption must be submitted in writing to the RIWA Board of Directors no later than February 14th.

Split Tournament Times:
6-7-8 year olds and 9-10 year olds will wrestle from 9:00 - 12:00 noon.
11-12 year olds, middle school and high school wrestlers will wrestle from 12:00 noon to 3:00pm

Pre-Registration:
You must pre-register for all RIWA tournaments by going http://www.TrackWrestling.com.
You can not register at the door on Sundays. Bring the pre-registration receipt for proof .

Age Groups:
(6-7-8) (9-10) (11-12) (13-14) (15-16) (17-18). Your age group is determined by the age you will be on your birthday in 2010. You can only wrestle in your age group. No age bumping is allowed.

Headgear Rule:
All wrestlers at any USAWrestling event must wear headgear.

OUT OF STATE TEAMS AND WRESTLERS ARE WELCOME AT ANY RIWA TOURNAMENT EXCEPT FOR OUR STATE TOURNAMENT
USA Wrestling cards are required for all participants at all RIWA Tournaments. Cards expire each year on August 31st. Membership Cards can only be purchased online at http://www.TheMat.com . Coaches must have a valid 2010 USAWrestling Coaches Card to be on any mat.

NOTE: Any HS wrestler is eligible to compete in any RIWA Tournament during your HS wrestling season to include the Freshman, JV, State Championship or New England Championship, provided he/she has a USAWrestling card. This is a new ruling approved by the RIIL.
